Team/Shift Lead Job - Boston
We are looking for a qualified Team Leader to manage our team and provide effective guidance who acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes culture, values, and mission of Modern Pastry.
You will be responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating team members daily. Ensure all customers are getting prompt service, the best quality products, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
You should lead by setting a good example, engaging the team to achieve goals, and evaluate the environment and customer for cues.
Location: Boston, MA
Hours/Availability
- 5 days a week
- Must be available weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Meeting customer and business needs
- Delegate tasks and set deadlines
- Oversee day-to-day operation
- Monitor team performance and report on metrics
- Motivate team members
- Discover training needs and provide coaching
- Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
- Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
- Working with your supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Corresponding with the management team
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Customer service experience in retail and/or restaurants
